Hailing from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Hannah is a recent graduate of the Cafritz Young Artist Program at the Washington National Opera and a National Semi-Finalist in the 2023 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. This season she returns to WNO to cover Jess in the world premier of Jeanine Tesori's GROUNDED, a role she had the great privilege of developing in the workshop with WNO in partnership with the Metropolitan Opera. On the concert stage, she'll appear as a soloist with the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera in Handel's Messiah and with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.

The joyful, 30-minute cantata benefited from... golden-voiced singing from five personality-rich soloists. The women’s trio of soprano Kresley Figueroa and mezzos Adja Thomas and Hannah Shea created a moment of lyrical bliss in the penultimate aria. (Bach Magnificat)
